Main Facility Manager

Commercial Sewing, Inc. is searching for an individual with experience to immediately manage the building and equipment maintenance responsibilities while training to gain knowledge and expertise in the maintenance and repair of the various equipment to support production needs in the manufacturing environment.

This position is responsible for the entire upkeep and maintenance of the equipment and facility. The work requires using your technical and organizational skills for ensuring that all maintenance activities are seamlessly completed while starting to develop the structures and processes to build a world-class maintenance organization. This position requires a “hands-on” mechanical leader to perform basic to moderately complex maintenance and repair operations necessary to keep company property, equipment, machinery, and tools in good operating condition; diagnose problems and work in many varied and diversified capacities required in general maintenance, overhaul, and repair of production equipment, processes and facilities. Development of a work order based maintenance program is a key objective as well as implementing Lean tools to support continuous improvement in this area and throughout the plant.

We have a demanding production environment where teamwork and flexibility are a MUST. Computer experience and leadership training is a plus and should adhere to all OSHA and company safety policies.


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience of 7-9 years in Facilities Management in manufacturing preferred.
  • Mechanical experience required for maintenance and repairs to manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience with property maintenance and repairs required.
  • Experience in Lean Mfg./Continuous Improvement.
  • Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to effectively manage time and lead a team of subordinates.
  • Good organizational and administrative skills.
  • Must be a “hands-on” manager.
